There will probably soon be a sociological term for this. I'm sure it happens in several sports... Sport grows and becomes more mainstream then a minority core few dislike the fact that its becoming popular and the uncool, no-cred population are enjoying themselves and representing the sport by sheer quantity not quality.

The inevitable swing of the industry to cater for the majority of the market (where all the cash is) means the core minority feel left out and feel resentment to the kooks who jumped on their wagon and for the industry for selling out.

Its a real Catch22... a small sport stoked on a new buzz tells the world, only to get pissed when the beach gets crowded.

Face it guys, you better start learning to sew your own kites and to make your own boards if you don't like the way business works!

It'll happen to that guy on the OrbitWheels above too... at the moment he's defining his sport, but when you guys get fed up with kiting and turn up on his street with a boots version you're gonna gonna be suck kooks and he's gonna start a hate forum or something

I haven't visited this circle jerk for months. It's funny to check back in and see that I got that far into your collective brains. I wouldn't remember any of you guys, but the posts above are just too funny. Losers, one and all, to still remember an internet poster from several months ago! But thanks for the ego boost! Get a life, get back to the flailing, and continue to enjoy the circle jerk that is KookScoop. I'll check in from time to time just to keep you cozy and stick it in you some more.
