hay

the combat isn`t only awsomly inexpensive, it is like the best c- kite i flue, been riding torches for the last couple of years, and it`s just like pete said, not only the price is awsom, they have like the perfect performance, you expect of an c-kite slow enough in the smaller sizes to still do ease handle-passes, and as quick as possible in the bigger ones, like 11 and 13.
the bar is quite alright, and working good, would be nice, if they had like a shorter version of it, like 35-40cm
buying them it`s the best thing to do, if you need an just c-kite.

c ya

if you have a preferred bar, use that, i'm not a fan of the switch chickenloop for unhooked stuff, (but it's def not the worse)

these kites will work on any 5line bar with all equal lines, bar at full power.

it is also possible to make really sick grabs with the combat.

I want one of these badly. I'm a newb and have only been on Bows but from what I've read about C's they sound like a great kite for learning new moves and progressing. Despite all the "bad" things the die hard bow freaks have to say.. Just less depower.
Does that sound about right?

no not quite...i would try a few of the newer c-kites around if you could then make up your mind. you're either going to love them, or you're going to get your ass kicked and hate them...

however if yer ripping already and throwin down some solid unhooked stuff you will def enjoy riding the combats.

Good point, not really at that level just yet. I'll find some demo C's and work on keeping my switchblade from ripping my hands off first!

ok to be more exact yes you can ride a c-kite no problem if you can go upwind, agreed dude.

but when you're unhooking yer prolly not gonna notice a difference if you're still learning. might as well stick to your bows till you get some basics down.

still try a c-kite though and if you like it then get some!

Heh I learned to unhook on a switchblade 3... felt like my arms were going to get ripped out of their sockets the first time I did. Fun memories. Been riding RPMs for the past year and a half and I love them but they are super grunty when unhooked and getting the slack I want has proved a bit tough (especially on the 8). Needed a new 11-12m and figured what the hell when I ordered the Combat. Hope it delivers. Should be here in time for the Air trip in Hatty! woot!

Had one 2 hour session on the 11m combat on the sound side in Avon and it was butter smooth water. Kite pulls like a truck and unfortunately they sent me the 5th without the extension so I was only able to fly it on 4 lines (not recommended) however, the kite flew and relaunched super easy. I could see that the 5th would make a little bit of difference in the bar pressure (which was really high compared to my RPMs). Kite was ultra stable and was pretty much park and ride through any trick to blind. I'd pass the bar and the kite would be in the exact same spot as where I took off. Really happy with it so far and will give another post when I get another session on it (hopefully later this week).
