Hi guys,
I’m doing some research into kitesurfing and I’d like to know what do you hate about the current kite designs (it can be detailed imperfections or very general problems).
Let me start off with a few issues, I think are causing people headaches:
- Kite control (I noticed most kitesurfers don’t like slow/sluggish kites but more direct responding ones)
- Wind speed range (having to buy many kites to make sure you cover all wind speeds)
- Setup time and needing help with initial launch.
I’d like to get as much info on this as possible, please let me know if these really are the main issues in kitesurfing and please feel free to add your own frustrations.
Thanks guys,
Greg

I love the slow kites. I hate twitchy ones.

You pretty much only need two kites now a days.

Setup is done in a couple of minutes, and obviously you can self-launch.

And kite racing, i dont even do that sport. It's like comparing ski racing to skiing park and BC, its not the same at all. But i agree, its really boring.

The only frustrating thing about kiteboarding is that you don't have the oppurtunity to go out every single day. And repairing gear fucking sucks.

hahhhaha this had me laughing out loud in the thread on kiteforum:

"Toby,

Good on you for making the NYT. Regardless of the accuracy of the print, its something to be proud of. It took me years to make the FT and the NYT, but that was for very different reasons. Don't let anybody take that away from you, buy the paper and keep it for your kids (assuming you're not gay, in which case I apologise, but you may still be able to adopt a child, although I don't necessarily agree that this should be allowed).

All the best
Jono"

Wrong

worst things: shorter lines every year, bars that you can't cut down easily, leashes breaking, north errr ronix boots......
