if it is the same material of a bodyboard, you prolly want something stiffer..

from a retailer:

A fin-free, surfable design, tapered-D rails and twin-channel crescent tail for finless performance, Dow® foam core with graphite-rod stringers, Sealed Air® 8lb PE deck and slick skin, pop-thru leash plug at tail. Handmade in the USA by Catch Surf™

foam core with graphite stringers might help

personal opinion... Stay away if you looking for something surf like to kite on, use that money and buy a used surfboard..... you will be better off..

ya i'm thinking about fixing up an old board thats a 6'1" CI Flyer shape. My leash wrapped around this pipe and the board was stuck on it for a little while....it needs some work but i figure it wouldn't be bad board to kite with. Just have to get around to fixing it.

I was just justifying buying that thing for $160...might be fun around here since we haven't had any sandbars all summer.
