has any of you other clowns gone through the cunt of a task that is body prep for car painting.. i swear im about to lose my shit and stab a mother fucker.

umm im doing it all, going to start painting the boot and bonnet panels monday then just do panel by panel as i go, but i did so much prep work on the roof only to find small little rust spots... rookie me didnt realise a primer doesnt seal and actually absorbs water :|

keep it raw. I rebuilded an old land rover and in the process of painting, I found out it I looked better with a raw polishing pulling out all the colors (car had a few paint layers in his life )..

did you just straight up clear coat it?
love those old landies, is it a series 3? i got a bit too much bog going in to keep it polished metal.

fuck me finding those tiny imperfections do my head in though and sanding back only to find more n more little spots of rust as well

78 serie III. ..yeh I added a clear non-glossy coat at the end otherwise you have the alu oxyding and whithening very fast...

In fact I planned to polish it too full metal first but after seeing results (and also the work time needed..) I decided to keep it like that..

yeah haha fuck going to polished metal, id lose it n set the bastard on fire half way. should probably take photos as i go along. mine's still original colour and has heaps of little dings and rust spots.

here some pics of how it is tonight. that tail colour is similar to what it's going to be at the end, just spray cans for now to make sure the cunt doesnt rust again.

this was the first one i had, it met with an unfortunate accident when i was playing initial D completely off my trolley drunk in the rain.

and to answer the question i asked myself: no you cant beat the roundabout on mulalloo drive/ dampier av because that big dip bucks yo ass in the air when you pumping through sideways

.. oh, and are you sanding all the car by hand too (as it look like your doing on the roof) ?? .. dude find a tool rental tool shop andget proper machines and struff or you'll be mad before primering that sexy sport car..
