I have a 2010 Cab Caliber and love it. I have recently bought some Slingshot KTVs which are also awesome and I have used them on the board with a bit of fiddling with the washers and screw sizes etc.

I was wondering though, am I going to destroy the board as it is not a wakestyle board? has anyone had any experience on using one of these with boots?

If so, does anyone know where I can get a cheap 2010/2011 Cab Custom from?!!

Cheers

Tom

Schweet!

I can stop pussying around and go hard(ish).

Some big winds at my home spot this weekend. 33-35 knots. Some big boosting.

Will break easier but shouldnt break easy. At least when you break it you can get a different board meant for boots!

thats what i rock right now, boots on a 2010 cab caliber, I go to the cable a good bit with it, it holds up to rails, kickers, rocks, sand really well, little bit sticky on rails, but its definately a good start!
but my POP is in the mail!

Have you ever heard of people pulling the threads out the board as it is not specifically designed for wakestyle?

I have ridden a few times with the boots and gone pretty hard but just worried as it is only 4-5 threads holding the boots on. It doesn't seem substantial compared to a wakeboard.

Has anyone looked into this?

Cheers for the help.

I've got 2010 Reliks on my 2010 Caliber and it's held up to a lot of beatings. I haven't had any problems with the inserts coming out, or heard of anyone who has. I've taken some serious falls with it too, and also landed really heavy coming off kickers before. Board is rock solid. Definitely not a top-of-the-line wake style board, but you can beat it up for at least a couple years no problem.

You will pull the inserts completely out of the board before you pull the bolts out of the threaded inserts.... Make sure the bolts are not bottomed in the inserts, and check the bolts for tightness and toe to heel rock on the binding baseplate BEFORE EVERY SESSION, a metric fuckton of leverage is going to exerted if you ride with loose bolts or flexing bindings, a lot of boot designs are total shit and will tend to tweak and bend so they have a toe to heel rocker and that will end up fucking your shit up.
